Valentina is made from the French grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and the Spanish grape varieties Mataro and Garignan. These varieties were introduced to Cyprus during the late 1970s and have proven over the years to produce exceptional wines. All our grapes are grown in the Paphos region, in the villages Kili, Kalepia, Polemi and Stroumpi, within a 15 Km distance from Fikardos Winery. The vineyards are grown on limestone soil at an altitude of between 400-500 metres above sea level and are trained with the traditional “goblet” system.
Valentina Taste Notes:
A fresh, light-bodied rose wine, with an attractive pink color. Refreshingly crisp acidity and intense aromas of strawberry, cherry, pomegranate and rose.
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon (48%), Mataro (21%), Shiraz (15%), Carignan (16%)
Type: Rose Medium Sweet
Valentina pairs very well with Asian cuisine dishes such as Chicken Tikka Masala, Spring Rolls with Ginger Sauce or Sweet and Sour Fish. Valentina can also be enjoyed by itself, after food or with fruity desserts.
