Katerina is made from the Cypriot grape variety, Xinisteri and the French grape variety, Semillon. This particular blend produces wines with more body and fruit. Xinisteri is the most widespread white grape variety in Cyprus and is usually found in the Paphos Region, whilst Semillon is known worldwide for producing exceptionally sweet wines.

Fikardos winery sources its Xinisteri grapes from five producers in the nearby villages of Kili, Kalepia and Stroumpi. The grapevines are grown on limestone soil at an altitude of between 400-500 metres above sea level.

Our Semillon grapes are sourced from three vineyards at Stroumpi and Kili villages. All vineyards are grown on limestone soil and are trained with the traditional goblet method.
