Why are Magnum bottles better? Magnum size bottles for Maratheftiko, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Fikardos Winery has launched a limited amount of Magnum bottles for Shiraz 2014, Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 and Maratheftiko 2014. Be one of the first to own the 2014 vintage. Currently available for sale in the standard size bottles is the 2013 vintage.

So why are Magnum bottles better?

Impressive for your guests. Magnum bottles are more impressive than the standard size bottles and will definitely be appreciated more. Taking a Magnum bottle to a party will definitely raise spirits.

Great for Parities. Magnum bottles are the size of two standard 75cl bottles which makes it ideal for small parties and gatherings.

Wine will age longer. In magnum bottles the ratio of oxygen to wine is less, which means the wine will be oxidized slower.  It is estimated that wine in Magnum bottles ages 1.5 times slower than in standard bottles.

Less sensitive to temperature fluctuations. Big wine bottles can keep their temperature for a longer time. One of the main rules in storing wines is to always have your wines at a stable temperature. Big temperature fluctuations can destroy your wine. (But of course your storing area must be cool most of the time and not warm most of the time)

Magnum bottles are available for sale at the Winery and selected wine shops. For more information please contact us.
