The 2015 Harvest has come to an end. As always it was a very busy period with a lot of late night shifts and plenty of surprises, good and bad.
The last grape variety to harvest was Xinisteri, the most popular white grape variety in Cyprus. The quality of grapes this year was exceptional with Cabernet Sauvignon and Xinisteri leading ahead. On the other hand the biggest setback of the 2015 harvest was the lower yields. Some vineyards produced half of the expected grapes. Almost all grape varieties saw a dramatic fall in terms of production.
At the moment we are waiting for the remaining wines to finish fermentation and hopefully soon enough start the bleedings. There is a lot of work until the first wines are released. We are expecting the first white and rose wines to be released during the first week of December while others around March or April.
